You turn down the job.

You hate to lose business, but you know it's for the best. You don't want to endanger anyone. You also don't want the customer to pay too much.

This is the real-life decision made by glazier Jim Brooks.

"We always put safety first, and that's why we've turned down jobs such as that," Brooks says. "We would have to hire scaffolders ourselves, and that costs a heck of a lot of money. It's not necessary for the customer to pay that outrageous kind of money, so you just tell them that, outright."
