File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Before you use the transfer module link below, prepare all the information you will need to complete the FAFSA. A worksheet is available to download at the U.S. Department of Education’s Website. You may wish to complete this worksheet before completing the actual application. The worksheet will help you know what types of questions you must answer about yourself, about your parent(s) (if you are a dependent student), as well which documents you should have available while completing the online application.
Click here to download the FAFSA on the Web Pre-Application Worksheet.
So that you can electronically sign the FAFSA online, you will need a Federal Student Aid Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you are a dependent student, your parent should also have a PIN. Apply for the FAFSA PIN at the U.S. Department of Education’s PIN Website.
If you are ready to complete the FAFSA on line, log onto the CollegeInColorado.org transfer module to begin. If you use this transfer module, information pertinent to the FAFSA that you have entered about yourself in your CollegeInColorado.org account will be transferred automatically on to the FAFSA, saving you some typing.
Alternatively, you can go directly to the FAFSA Website. |
